"How Does the Nervous System Maintain Homeostasis."

Our brain is like a thermostat, It regulates by detecting if we have the right amount of hormones, temperature, etc. When it is too low or high, the homeostasis comes in. When we are feeling hot: the brain senses it and activates sweat glands and dilates blood vessels; thus, maintaining our body temperature. When we are cold: the brain senses it and makes us shiver and constrict blood vessels; thus, maintaining body temperature. When it comes to hormones. When we have a little amount of hormones: the brain powers our endocrine glands to secrete more hormones. When it becomes too high, it shutdowns temporarily and powers it on when we only have a little amount of hormones. This is called a negative feedback loop. So basically homeostasis regulates our body to function normally. :)
